Lampard was born in East Ham.
He Joined West Ham as a youth player in 1964, after three years he got his big breakthrough making his first team debut in November 1967 against Manchester City in a 3–2 home defeat.
Establishing himself quickly as first team choice left back. He served the hammers for an amazing 18 years. winning two FA Cups and a second Division title and becoming one of West Ham most decorated players.
The Semi Final against Everton will live in the memories of Hammers fans forever , There was just two minutes remaining and heading for a certain reply, when Lampard met David Cross’ flick-on from a Trevor Brooking cross, his diving header and winning goal was greeted with that now famous run to the corner flag.
