West Ham’s record attendance is 42,332 against Spurs in 1970.

The Hammers record attendance is 42,332 (Boleyn Ground)  against Tottenham in the 1970’s.

I frequently used to go to the Boleyn Ground (upton Park) throughout the Magical time of John Lyall management in the late 1970’s to early 80’s when there would be 37,000+ on a regular basis.  Sell outs had not been of, with nearly the entire ground paying on the turnstile untill crammed in like sardines.

When the the stadium was rebuilt and converted into an all seater stadium the capability did fall to 35,333 and during the Premier League years that was usually been reached.
